Today kids took a break from ELA to start pre-gridding for the ACT next month. [Important reminder: attendance is critical for juniors on March 4,5,6.] It's tedious, yes. But the test is an important one for students and pre-gridding allows them to concentrate on showing what they know during the test window--not worrying about their SSN or their high school classes or their interests. Counselors will return tomorrow to take care of pre-gridding for the Work Keys and the MME, the two other tests juniors will take in
March.
The rest of the week, our focus will be on their project for the marking period--what does expert testimony look like, rubrics, etc.
