WInding down

Today is the last Moodle day to work on blogs and videos. Students' PBL assessment is due tomorrow. They had most of the hour to add any finishing touches; the hour began with a short quiz on fair use and copyright. I'm impressed with the few blogs I've peeked at--please ask your student to pull up their project! I think you'll be impressed. (The blogs are private, so you'll be able to access them only via your student.)

The rest of our week is fairly mellow--tomorrow we'll return to another Article of the Week and Wednesday is SSR. I like to conference with each one of my students about their progress in ELA 11 which I'll try to do those days. If necessary, I may need to move into next week. Exam schedule has changed a bit because Mr. Gough was able to have GVSU students perform Shakespeare for the entire student body on Friday. What a great opportunity! I've cancelled this week's vocabulary quiz due to exams--our exam in ELA 11 is an ACT reading skills test, so no studying is involved, but I know juniors have some pretty tough exams in some of their other classes. Hopefully, this will provide them with one less thing to worry about.
