Students had an opportunity today to give me their first in-class write on the question "Do stories shape our lives?" I'll be using this as a baseline score to track how their writing improves over the year. After the write, they had opportunity to read the book they brought for SSR. Although it was Homecoming Friday, all my classes did a great job of being focused and staying on task.
I wished my students all a fun and safe Homecoming game and dance. Next week students will work on revising their This I Believe drafts and submit the final copy to me on Google Drive--but I'll fill them in on those details on Moodle Monday.
