Today launched the next part of our last unit, the PBL assessment. I gave students directions (these are also posted on Moodle) and showed some examples from a previous year so they could get an idea of quality and appearance. We also looked at the calendar--students will have a total of 8 1/2 class hours to work on the project, 3 of those in the computer lab. In addition, there are two weekends included before the project is due. Because of the time of the year, I cannot guarantee getting late project grades in--especially considering the generous allotment of class work time. Kids also have an Article of the Week to annotate and summarize by tomorrow at the hour's beginning.
The final Raisin in the Sun test is tomorrow. It will cover the introductory presentation (on Moodle), Act I stage directions, vocab, Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and the play.
