We've all heard the old saying "Failing to plan is planning to fail"--and that certainly holds true for high school students as well. The next two weeks are work time for juniors' last PBL assessments--about 8 1/2 hours worth! Today I asked students to begin planning their work for next week. I kept the originals and gave students a copy. Next week I will check in with each student to assess how they're progressing, what they've accomplished, etc.--they should be right on track if they've been on task in class. We'll have 3 computer lab days and 1 1/2 days of class time. You might want to ask to see your student's plan--this is an area that takes some of us a long time to develop and any help you can give towards planning will only help your student be more successful. Here is a link for the PBL directions (link). You can find the link to the planning sheet here (link).
