What was due

Many students seemed confused as to what was to be turned in with their researched essay. Let me be frank by saying there are no surprises in this class--it's my professional standard that I list and file assignment guidelines for student reference in addition to oral instructions in class, and usually paper handouts as well. I went over the requirements more than once and provided the materials on Moodle. For questions about how to include the rubric, see this link. The reading for this essay was done last marking period--students had six class hours to write their paper. In addition, there were 3 weekends during this mini unit when students should have worked on the assignment. No one needed to be up until 1 or 2 AM to write this essay unless they didn't use class time.
