The hour started reviewing the forum questions students posted to our forum on Moodle (no one from 2nd hour posted any questions) and continued with Sustained Silent Reading. The last 15 minutes of class, students started a focused reading strategy for the first 44 pages--they should finish this over the weekend. A Moodle quiz through page 68 is scheduled for Monday.

The forum will stay open for this novel so that students can post questions as needed. As always, students should begin to make connections to our essential question for the marking period: Does technology help or hinder communication? I am beginning to pull articles for their PBL assessment which will be an oral argument. Looks to be an interesting topic, to say the least! Next Friday we'll roll out the project.
