Right on track
My jury duty was short, but sweet. I felt humbled by the experience and was proud of my fellow Americans. The jury members (and even the pool) took the matter seriously and showed the utmost respect for our judicial system.
It is also a bit of a relief that I'm back to school--kids are now able to present their videos instead of doing classwork during my absence. Today we watched a few Photo Stories in each hour; it was a chance for students to show off their understanding of the ideas they found significant in their reading this marking period. Some teams experienced significant technical difficulties--I've encouraged each class to see this as a learning experience (this is high school, after all!), but pointed out the real difficulty they'll find themselves in only a couple years from now. College profs are not nearly as patient with projects that are not good-to-go on the due date.
