Digging deeper

Students worked in teams again, this time finalizing their inquiry trait. This trait is one that leads to chaos on the island--and, consequently, in our world today. Ask your teen what trait their team is following. Students will use Lord of the Flies, Articles of the Week, their self-selected book, and other texts they may know of as support.
Tomorrow teams will continue to dig deeper into the novel--and continue their planning.

Moodle Monday students had a quiz to complete--at the beginning of each day in the lab I open the agenda on the front data projector, go through their tasks, and show kids where to find the materials. The quiz (as it says on Moodle and as I explained in class) was a Google form mailed to students' gmail account. Students had plenty of time to do the quiz (3 short answer questions) in class, but many opted to complete it at home. Unfortunately, many neglected to complete the quiz and so have a 0 on an assessment. When we have work posted on Moodle it is extraordinarily important that students stay on task in the computer lab, remember to work from home, and complete all assignments and assessments.
