Because teams need to begin thinking about their PBL assessment in a more systematic way, they began planning for their first check which is Tuesday 12/6. Teams worked today to finalize their inquiry trait, chose an example from Lord of the Flies for support, decided on their first informational piece, and formulated a guiding question. On Monday we'll be in the computer lab for Moodle Monday and I'll ask one member from each team to send me their initial plan in a Google form.
Monday students need to have a self-selected book in class--fiction or nonfiction, as long as it is a high school reading level or above. Next week a few hours will be set aside for team work as kids begin to pull in their support from texts, as well as find images, graphics, and music.
