Beginning again ~

It is hard to believe that we are on to the second nine weeks! With our shortened hour today we looked at a new sentence pattern and had some time to read. Tomorrow I'll also give some reading time. This nine weeks our anchor novel will be Lord of the Flies. Students will read and investigate when a personality trait becomes a tragic flaw. Students will need to read 3 chapters a week to keep up with the novel; we'll finish it the first part of December. As always, the monthly calendar and weekly agendas are on the Moodle course page, as well as other handouts and instructional materials.

Today was also our positive contact day at CPHS and I contacted a number of my English 11 parents to pass on my compliments to their teens--I've got a great group of kids this year and I'm grateful you share them with me.
