ELA 11
Students have study questions today to check their understanding--and to prepare for the quiz tomorrow. Because there are twenty-four questions and answering all of them might be construed as busy work, I suggested that kids answer only those questions that stumped them--that way they searched for the answer, went back to the text, and hopefully clarified their understanding. I was here to further clarify whatever wasn't clear. Some students worked very well together and reviewed their reading--others used the time to socialize.
AP Language
We were in the computer lab together--a few days here and there to work on the multi-genre project. Students shouldn't plan on completing the whole project in school, but what with seniors leaving and AP testing, this gives them a little more flexibility.
