No silly questions

ELA 11

We had a quiz scheduled today over Chapters 7-9. Students worked yesterday on study questions to prepare, and I told them I would review any sections of the novel they had trouble with before the test. I was very pleased that there were many, many questions! We spent the better part of an hour reading through passages to clarify students' understanding--and I'm sure kids will be much better prepared for tomorrow's quiz.(I think the kids think they've pulled one over on me because they got me to delay the quiz, but I'll take questions any way I can get them. Sometimes, getting students to ask for clarification is like pulling teeth!)

AP Language 
Students took their final test for the year! I'll have grades entered within the next couple days. Next week Tuesday the multi-genre project is due and until the seniors leave we'll be watching Citizen Kane and Casablanca.  After that, the juniors will have the remaining class time to prepare for their exam.
