Start at the beginning

ELA 11

 This was the first full work day students had for their independent reading. I also went over report card grades with every student in class. In some cases, grades have improved dramatically--great work! I had a few glitches finding student work online, but was able to have kids help me read their URLs and I adjusted grades accordingly. Unfortunately, report cards were pulled before I could enter the grade--check Skyward today for the update. With only 8 weeks to go, students need to be mindful of their grades. What a shame it would be for a student to find themselves short a 1/2 credit right before their senior year.

AP Language
Today we started our wrap-up novel for the year, Silas Marner. Students took background notes on the author and novel and began reading. Reading assignments and agenda are posted on the calendar I gave students yesterday.  With the research paper behind us, the year will be much less stressful!
