What a glog might look like! |
Today I introduced the group project assessment for our dystopian unit. (The directions are also available on my Moodle class for easy access.) Students may work in groups of one, two, or three to create three different glogs about each work we've read or watched. A glog, for those of you who don't know (and I didn't until a couple months ago!) is an online "poster" of sorts with graphics, images, text, and animation added. The site URL is <www.glogster.com> If you scroll down to the "school" glogs you'll get a better picture (pun intended!) of what a glog looks like. This is my first glog project, and I am so excited to see what my students create.

I was not able to look over students' third draft yesterday because I was out sick. I will have kids continue today and evaluate what they wrote over the past two days--tomorrow we begin conferencing their papers to determine where they need to go. We might slide our conferences in to Monday, but after that, if students want me to critique their essays (which I
highly recommend) they will need to get them in to me. Final due date: April 14.
