Snow day--NOT!

ELA 11
Very productive day in all three hours.  We tried a reading strategy to help with difficult reading passages on the ACT. The reading pace of the ACT is a bear, and occasionally I'll give kids practice passages over the next few weeks. I left time during the hour for kids to ask about grades, essays, etc., and hopefully everyone who felt the need checked in with me. Students DO have the opportunity to rewrite their polished essays after they conference with me.

AP Language
We were in the computer lab working on any component of the semester exam project.

Yearbook
Staffers should be planning for their second stories. This week their first story grades will trickle in and they can begin making changes as needed.
