[Yesterday I was absent and students continued to work on their poetry project.]

ELA 11

Today I introduced the third part of the poetry project, the Poet Shadow essay. Students will respond personally to the poem they are memorizing and also research the poet. The memorized poem and Poet Shadow  is due next Thursday, and the Poetry Portfolio is due next Friday--both written assignments will be shared using Google docs. 

AP Language

We looked at How if feels to be colored me (yesterday's assignment with the sub)  and continued with book talks for students absent on Monday. 

Yearbook
Staffers should be continuing to work on planning and interviewing for their 2nd spreads, and are also making revisions on their first. I am working with any staffers who need help with polishing those first stories. Students should get those first spreads revised so that their score can be entered.
