AP Language
Students were in the computer lab today looking for a speech for their semester project--they are to find a speech on American Rhetoric's Top 100 Speeches. Students will analyze the speech's rhetoric, memorize an excerpt, and create a powerpoint to be presented during exam week. We'll review basic research concepts after Thanksgiving break
[Mr. Jon Weir subbed today as I attended the funeral of a family friend.]
Yearbook
Students worked on creating a team name, motto, and graphic to represent themselves. Yearbook is a class that requires students to work together toward a common goal while exhibiting flexibility. I check student progress periodically to be sure tasks are distributed equitably. I also encourage students to bring their concerns and frustrations with teamwork to my attention so I can intervene if necessary.
Tomorrow students will plan a party for this Friday, November 19 to celebrate our first spread layouts on Online Design!
