A few bumps in the road

Long time, no see, write! When we came back from our snow days, I was hustling to get the kids caught up as quickly as possible, and the parent blog took the back burner. Then, last week we had a family emergency and I was gone this week for 2 days. So--my apologies. 

The days I was gone this week kids were productive! I don't like 'busy work' myself and so don't burden my students with it. They had the opportunity to dig deeper into Fahrenheit 451 and read further. Reading assignments can be found on Moodle here (link). 

Our usual Articles of the Week will morph into research articles this marking period. Students were given a packet of articles today (they will also be posted on Moodle soon) and their assignment is to read, annotate, and summarize the article. (We'll follow the examples under the "Buff Your Brain" Article of the Week here)

Barring any more snow days, we should have a productive marking period!
