Back in the saddle!

It was a long winter break, and I just know my students are happy to be back to the routine of school! (Or it is you who are glad they're back?!) I went over the adjusted agenda today with all my classes and I've posted it below--it would be a great conversation starter, however, if you asked your junior what they'll be doing in class this week, just to check if they need any clarification from me tomorrow.

PBL presentations are still scheduled for next week. We'll draw the order of  team presentations on Friday, but all work (links, handouts, Google presentations, Prezis, etc.) are due on Monday Jan. 13 as scheduled. This week we will be in the computer lab Wed. and Friday getting the PBL presentation organized. Thursday (tomorrow) we'll have the final Lord of the Flies test that was originally scheduled for Tuesday of this week. Kids might want to bring index cards tomorrow to write presentation note cards to after they finish with the test.

Because of our missed days and need to catch up, we will not resume vocabulary quizzes until 2nd semester. We will also resume SSR again 2nd semester--kids will be required to read a book each marking period in addition to class reading. Next week is also exam week; students have half days on Thursday and Friday.
