Searching and re-searching

This will be a quick post--our week is interrupted by 3 days of the MME and so our time together in ELA 11 is limited. And, in fact, both days students will spend in the computer lab, researching their technology topic. We started today by thinking about how to evaluate websites (link). There is so much information on the Internet students need to look carefully at a number of factors before just using a site willy nilly. Today kids will choose a website from the Presentation to evaluate. You might try it out, also, to see what you think about these sites--cut and paste the URLs into a web browser search bar:
