Tons to do

Students had tons to do in the lab today. (I copied the agenda from Moodle below.) Unfortunately, in my 2nd hour most kids did a couple of the items and then played on the internet and socialized. Having learned my lesson, I told my other hours if they were off task we'd be going back to the room--there is plenty to search for their topic. While we're just starting research for the PBL, next week is the MME, time will be short, and I can hear kids complaining they have "too much work". You can see the March agenda here (link).

No Fahrenheit 451 test FRIDAY!   Vocab quizzes will resume after MME
  • Complete the form "Moving forward"--sent to your email
  • Listen to the podcast "Tutors teach seniors new high tech tricks" (link) TAKE NOTES/JOT IDEAS in your WN--label and date!
  • I'll return your ticket out from Friday--is this aspect of technology an area of concern for teens today? If not, regroup and decide another topic.
  • One person on your team should create a Google doc
  1.  share the document with all team members (NOT me!)
  2. Each team member should type their own technology topic at the top of the doc
  3. name the doc "PBL 3rd/last names
  • Open the PBL directions--skim and scan them again (link) with your team. Brainstorm ideas for each topic & write them down in your WN--label and date!
  • If you still have time, Google your topic (social networking teens OR media piracy teens, for example) and see what you can discover. If you find a good site, record any URLs in your WN.
IF YOU FINISH ALL THIS, CON'T READING THE AFTERWORD AND CODA
