Second marking period begins today ... hard to believe, isn't it? We took a short quiz today in Moodle Monday and teams commented on each others' blog posts. Then that's it for 1st marking period. By this afternoon, grades will be posted.

Tomorrow we start the next unit: personality traits and human nature. Our guiding question will be
"How can a tragic flaw become a positive
personality trait?" Students will be introduced to their PBL sooner this marking period and will be doing more work on their own time. We'll read the novel Lord of the Flies, a story that shows the importance of positive character in our lives.
A reminder that parent-teacher conferences will be this week on Thursday from 4-7 PM. I look forward to meeting many of you. I am also conferencing with each student this week (and perhaps next) to talk about their grade, behavior, and what I see as their strengths and weaknesses.
