All hours have had one Writer's Notebook check at this time--and I'll be sure to do another next week. Ample class time is given for completion of the activities; grades might indicate whether or not your student is on task during class. Act II:iii is the climax of Raisin in the Sun and we see the Younger family's dreams fall apart as they realize Walter Lee has squandered their money. It was a rather somber end to our week, but powerful, to say the least.

Students had time today (30 minutes) to work on their character map and start vocab for Act III. Vocabulary should be done by next Tuesday when kids will read Act III in small groups. Moodle Monday = quiz over Act II, play and vocab.
