Today's task is to continue drafting the researched essay. Students will have only one more day in the lab--tomorrow they will print their essay and hand it in. Wednesday will be devoted to revision mark-ups. Because this weekend is prom, Mrs. Steffes and I have adjusted the due date for the final researched essay to next Wednesday April 25. Students will need to make revisions and final edits as homework. With all the class time given, there is little reason for anyone to neglect completing the essay. (Unfortunately, my 1st hour will be a day short in the computer lab--most students did little to nothing in the lab today. Because they are not using class time wisely, we will work in class.)
Another day, another poll. The response for Monday: I would give up using my computer and hand-held device(s). Maybe not so surprisingly, 86% of sampled students said NO and 14% said YES.
