Spring growth

We had three panels present their oral arguments today with great success. Students dressed professionally (I've never seen such well-dressed young men and women!) and offered very convincing proposals. They took the task seriously and have shown so much maturity--this time of year it dawns on me that these are quite different young people than walked through the doors of B209 in September.

We'll continue through Tuesday with presentations and then it's exam time. Mid-term and semester exams in ELA classes are reading passages and ACT-like questions. This is an assessment of students' reading skills and requires no study. ELA teachers track our exam grades and want to see growth in our students over the year.
