The first section of
Fahrenheit 451 is titled "The Hearth and the Salamander." Students got their books today and began reading. Each week's reading assignment is about 65 pages. This week students will have a few days of SSR (Sustained Silent Reading)--but I'll also have some reading notes for them to enter in their Writer's Notebooks towards the end of the week. First notebook check is today--students have had time to work in class both this week and last on a few assignments. If you see a low score entered on Power School you might want want to explore why this is so--it might indicate your student is not using classtime
or is not finishing their work at home.
