Students had the option of using six different online design sites to introduce themselves to me and their classmates. We will use these site throughout the year, so this was a great way to do away with the intimidation factor. Most students created a glog on Glogster--and we saw some great photos of parents, siblings, and pets! A couple students even embedded mp3s. One brave soul created an animation on Xtranormal--Mr. JW gets props for trying something out of his comfort zone. We'll go through the last few intros next week. The first two weeks of school get a lot of prep out of the way--next week students will get down to some serious work. I'm in the process of entering grades into the new Power Teacher program, although I don't think parents have access to grades yet. Stay tuned ...
