ELA 11
Another work day for the poetry project. We also reviewed using Google docs in class today. I've been surprised at the resistance of students to using this valuable tool, but we've gone over the process a few times now, and I think kids are feeling more comfortable. Finally! The benefits to using this application are many. 1.) Students might use the application in the business world (I know my husband's small company does) 2.) Google docs is "green" (no paper or ink is consumed) 3.) It is cost efficient (no paper/no ink for home or school to provide, and 4.) Students get immediate feedback on their work. No more waiting for two weeks until all the papers are graded before they're handed back. As an "old" person who shouldn't be real excited about technology, I have to say I am so excited about this new tool.
