It's "Friday"!

ELA 11
We wrapped up loose ends today--finished the writing unit and took a vocab quiz. The second polished essay is due Wed. November 24 by 6 PM on Google docs. When we return from break, students will have their first ACT practice unit--my goal is to demystify the test, offer practice opportunities under test-like circumstances, and encourage students by pointing out just how much they know!

AP Language
Book Talks start November 30--today is a reading day. I am excited to hear the kids' impressions of their books. We'll hear Reviving Ophelia, In Cold Blood, Brief History of Time, Devil in the White City, Three Cups of Tea ... and those are just the titles I remember!

Yearbook
Staffers will need to work on their spreads over break--their proofed spreads were returned yesterday and today they're back in the computer lab. Spread II deadline is next Tuesday, though--their first "real" yearbook assessment.
