Shared culture
Today students worked through some reading (albeit it boring!) about copyright, public domain, and fair use. At the end, they watched a very entertaining video titled "Fair
Use Tale" and try to determine whether or not the video was fair use. As students start their PBL this week, I want to stress the importance to them of using media and graphics responsibly--if we want the internet to become our shared culture, it's vital that we only use content for which we have permission and that we credit the creator.
