Back to business
A long week of grueling testing is behind us and I am so proud of the seriousness with which juniors approached the test. Scores should arrive before Spring Break. Now it's on with business. We are in the computer lab today to finish searching for articles related to technology--ask your student which aspect of technology they are researching. Our guiding question for the marking period: Is technology a positive or negative influence in our lives? Each team will present their findings in an "expert testimony" format, with each team member speaking about a particular technology that impacts the lives of teens: privacy, social media, piracy, educational technology, etc. If students don't find another article or two today, they must find sources over the weekend--script writing begins on Monday! I am in the process of adding Common Core Standards to our PBL rubrics. The bar is set high--check out the rubric for this marking period's PBL (link).
