Touching base

Today I'll touch base with each team to give some feedback on their 1st progress check submitted Monday. Most teams are right on track. Today they'll have an opportunity to read and analyze two poems that William Golding, the author of Lord of the Flies, found inspiring. These poems are also another possible source for the Photo Story PBL.

Tomorrow is a language quiz. We've worked with three sentence patterns so far this marking period using both mentor sentences and student-written sentences to practice. Students will need to write 2 original sentences for each of the patterns we've studied. After they finish they'll have time for SSR. Because we'll have such a quiet day, I probably won't post again until Friday. Check grades and have students see me if they have any questions.
