Failing to plan ...

... is planning to fail--although I certainly hope not!  Today was another computer lab day and after observing students work for two days, I can safely say not every student is making headway. Tomorrow in class they will do two things: complete a work report and a project calendar. I hope this encourages those who are not on task to begin their project--the task is not a small one! You might ask to check your student's project calendar to see what they've got planned ... and hold them to it. Also tomorrow is a vocabulary quiz. Students choose their own vocabulary this year and if they have kept up with their 5-10 vocab words a week, followed directions, and it's recorded in their Writer's Notebook, they will do fine on the quiz.
